On Empathy and Purpose in Nonprofit Marketing
Everyone has a podcast these days, The Office Ladies, Dax Shepard, Snooki. But you know what’s even better than having a podcast? Having friends who have podcasts. All the fun and none of the work. That’s why I was over the moon when my pal Justin McCord invited me to an episode of a podcast he hosts, Groupthinkers by RKD Group. We covered a lot of ground! And it was a really great conversation. So have a listen!
- We talked about generations, Gen Xers in particular, the search of purpose, and the nonprofits as a conduit for people to make a difference in the world.
- Empathy is a topic I think about a lot, it is a core value of how LemonSkies approaches our work with clients. We talked about what empathy means and how we incorporate it into our daily work.
- Some of the conversation turned personal. We discussed the philosophy of living in in an integrated way rather than trying to clearly delineate work and home life. Justin and I recently found that we share a commitment to teach our respective kids to be empathetic and giving humans, so naturally that was a topic we covered also.
Enjoy the episode and thank you for listening!
